As a former DEA Diversion Investigator, Kristy Smith was the lead case agent on numerous federal cases involving the illicit distribution of pharmaceutical controlled substances and specialized in "pill mill cases". Kristy is a certified DEA instructor and has been designated as an an expert witness in federal court. Kristy ensures that her clients are up-to-date on measures related to the diversion of controlled substances and compliance with state and federal regulations. Kristy's ultimate goal is to provide her clients with the necessary tools to avoid becoming the target of a federal investigation.
My Story
After 25+ years in public service, I decided to value faith over fear and stepped away from my position as a DEA Diversion Investigator to start my own consulting firm. While working in the field, I was astounded by the fact that doctors, pharmacists and others in the field could be granted access to controlled substances and be expected to understand the intricacies of federal and state laws, all the while facing serious administrative, civil and criminal sanctions if they violated the Controlled Substance Act. I am committed to obtaining the best results for my clients which includes providing the knowledge and tools necessary in order to avoid becoming the target of a DEA investigation.
